Close Encounters of the Random Kind...

So I’m killing some time outside the office with one of my coworkers when we see a car pull up and stop right in the middle of the road. We laugh as we stand half way between the parked car, and our building’s parking lot. The two elderly occupants get out of the car and walk into our building. Cars on the road are stopping and trying to get around said car. We laugh some more and talk about how aggravating people can be.

Eventually the two come back out of the office. A kindly “air knock” later, and the guy is telling us how they are traveling from town to town looking for good potential places to live. He asks us if we know where the $500,000 to $1 million houses are. I guess despite my long hair and sketchy beard this guy figured I could help him with his issue. After perhaps 5 more minutes of talking to him while the car obstructed traffic he seemed satisfied with the explanation that there were not a lot of neighborhoods in Waterloo conducive to the elderly retirement lifestyle. It took him a while to get back into his car as traffic was brisk, but in the end, the disruption ended, and I got a hilarious story to tell.

Gotta love rich old people.
